As the founding Board of Directors, William and Donna Hockett are dedicated to building an organization grounded in compassion, transparency, and responsible leadership. Every decision is guided by a shared mission: to create innovative opportunities that connect people, dogs, rescue organizations, businesses, and the community while giving more dogs the chance to find safe, loving homes.
As Homeward Bound by Willowbrook grows, the Board of Directors will expand to include additional members who bring diverse expertise, perspectives, and a shared commitment to advancing our mission.
William Hockett
Co-Founder & Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
William Hockett serves as Chief Financial Officer, providing financial oversight and helping ensure Homeward Bound by Willowbrook operates with integrity, accountability, and long-term sustainability.
William oversees financial planning, budgeting, compliance, and responsible stewardship of the organization's resources. His thoughtful approach helps ensure that donations, sponsorships, and community support are used effectively to maximize the nonprofit's impact.
Together with Donna, William shares a commitment to building an organization that is financially strong, mission-driven, and focused on creating lasting opportunities for rescue dogs and the communities they serve.

Co-Founder & Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
Donna Hockett founded Homeward Bound by Willowbrook with a vision of creating more than an adoption organization—she set out to build a community where rescue dogs and the people who love them can thrive together.
Drawing on her entrepreneurial background and passion for animal welfare, Donna leads the organization's strategic direction, community partnerships, fundraising initiatives, and long-term growth. She is committed to developing innovative programs that increase adoptions, strengthen relationships with rescue organizations, and create meaningful experiences that bring people and dogs together.
Her vision extends beyond finding homes for dogs. Through Homeward Bound by Willowbrook and Willowbrook Dog Retreat, Donna is creating a place where every visit supports rescue efforts, every partnership expands opportunities, and every adopted dog has a greater chance of finding a loving family.
